Larissa Maxwell is a local artist based out of Squamish, BC, Canada, who has been creating multimedia art work for over 15 years. Larissa’s work specializes in acrylic on canvas and wooden cradle, and has recently expanded to include encaustic work involving wax. She utilizes a variety of innovative mediums and techniques, including pumice stone, shellac burns, water bleeding, pouring medium, beeswax, salt emulsion, interference, micaecous oxide, modeling paste, and fibre building compound. She loves abstract work, but can also be found dabbling in landscapes.
Larissa is a national director of a large non-profit organization, a registered art therapist, and provides fine arts training & therapeutic work for Survivors of violence in British Columbia.
