Mo Rainbow

Mo Rainbow was born in Scotland in October 1944. Her family moved to London where she studied Art at A level in secondary school and went on to study pottery as a major at Avery Hill College, London University [where she met her husband Tony].

Mo’s father was a talented musician and artist and though she didn’t inherit his musical strength, she did enjoy dabbling in art. Mo married young and produced two sons by the age of 25. She then pursued her career as a teacher and school principal. The career and raising the two boys left no time for painting and pottery.

Since Mo retired, she has resumed her interest in painting. She and her husband live in Furry Creek with Gunner, a PADS golden retriever, and she has been overwhelmed with the beauty around her. She has painted several landscapes of the Furry Creek area and loves the peaceful environment. Although she sometimes works in other media, she particularly enjoys oil painting and is trying to express her love of this area in her work

Mo’s eldest son and family live in Squamish: Mo and Tony are grateful that their move has brought them to this amazing area. She finds the community and environment beautiful, welcoming and friendly; a great place to explore the Arts.
