“The expressive nature of watercolour continues to fascinate me and forms the basis of all my work – it’s a way of thinking and problem solving for me. I work in different water media, watercolour, gouache ink and acrylic and I particularly enjoy a flowing, slightly unpredictable way of working. My paintings are often an immediate response to natural forms and rhythms I find in the Pacific Northwest landscape. Against a backdrop of ancient Coast Mountains and Temperate Rainforest, I find endless opportunities to study and document the changing landscape around Squamish and Sea to Sky country”.
